Ultraman Tiga, Dyna and Gaia chibi figures

It’s been quite a while since I last featured here one of my toys from my collection and I have been (surprisingly) preoccupied lately with other things, and sadly picking up the camera and shooting toy photos wasn’t exactly on my “to-do” list… then I remembered something… my Ultraman figure set!…  good thing I was able to photograph a few weeks back a set of three Ultraman chibi figures composing of Tiga, Dyna and Gaia that I bought on sale from the toy shop I frequent to (purchased them for Php 150 (around $3.oo plus.) I almost completely forgot about them but at least it would save me some time in getting back on track to gather my other toys and take snapshots of them for future blog posts. ‘Till next time, see you guys around!

Last January 17 I was with my sister at the SM North EDSA to buy some stuff for my mom along with other things when we happen to pass by this small hobby shop that were selling several anime stuff like gashapons and PVC figures. I was looking through their items inside the display window and honestly, their prices are way too high in spite of giving discounts to some of their items. Though I’ve seen some good ones on display like figure sets of Shin Chan, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gundam and many more, I still opted to look for stuff that were affordable and easy on the wallet. I think it was a good 5 to 10 minutes that I’ve spent searching for my treasure until I noticed this cute schoolgirl figure placed on one corner of the display window and I immediately asked the saleslady for it.

The mystery of the unknown miniature bust figure

The Metrowalk in Pasig is known for being a hangout depot for dudes and dudettes of all ages, and what’s more, this place is popularly known for its DVDs being sold at the second floor. It was only recently that I discovered that aside from the DVD stalls there are some shops that were selling other stuff like RTW, bags, leather goods and a whole lot more. But with my constant wandering around the vicinity, I immediately stumbled upon several toy shops that were selling both brand new and loose items, and this one particular toy shop mainly sold literally a sea of gashapon figures (capsule toys), PVC toys and action figures… and majority of their stocks on sale are, well you’ve guessed it, loose items.

It was only about four to five years ago when McFarlane Toys captured my attention due to its elaborate and fine-detailed figures being sold in specialty toy shops everywhere. Though I am very much aware who Todd McFarlane is since everyone knows that he created the avenging angel of darkness known as Spawn and along with it came a string of successful comic book issues for Image Comics, a mini television series for HBO and eventually Todd even ventured into the world of toys… toys for the big boys… thus McFarlane Toys bred into this world. Todd McFarlane‘s extensive catalog of awesome figures will leave you breathless due to its excellent quality and intricate fine details.

Merry Christmas guys! Hope you enjoyed the yuletide season celebrating with your friends and families… I’m back once more with a new blog entry and with another toy figure I would like to share to all of you. Christmas spent with the family was rather quiet and simple at home and since I had nothing to do ’till I go and visit my girlfriend at 4 p.m.  I decided to whip out my camera and take some photos of my other toys that are waiting in line… I was so tempted to open my tightly sealed Flying Big Guy and Rusty figures but I suddenly had second thoughts about it and immediately I veered my attention away from it and looked for other toys to photograph. I looked inside my light box and found a few anime figures lying around and it didn’t take long before I finally made my decision…
